    • Co wash hair weekly or biweekly
    • Brush/Comb hair prior to washing
    • Wash hair in downward motion to avoid tangling
    • Deep condition hair after washing
    • Let hair airdry after washing
    • Use heat protectant before styling
    • Tie up hair with satin scarf or bonnet at night
    • Brush hair from ends to scalp to prevent breakage

    • (Avoid) using heavy alcohol based shampoos and conditioners
    • (Avoid) sleeping on wet hair
    • (Avoid) sleeping on hair without a satin pillow, bonnet, or scarf
